All about Wickham.

Kids Love Nature is very excited to have taken over Wickham Montessori School in September 2023 and create the latest Kids Love Nature Kindergarten. Located in the beautiful 18 acres of the Park Place Pastoral Centre in Wickham, the children have endless opportunities to connect with nature. We have an ambitious development plan that will bring the very best of the Kids Love Nature Approach to Wickham.

We have 3 beautifully designed classrooms with carefully selected sensorial resources that enable the children to master the skills they need for life. These include fine motor skills, develop language and communication, problem solving, counting, construction, drawing and painting, role play and more.

The children have access to a secure garden with climbing equipment, sand pit, mud kitchen and outdoor classroom. We will soon have finished our new and extended outdoor space which will enable the children to free flow from the downstairs classrooms, opening up a whole range of exciting adventures.

We have also taken over the 2 acre field next to the kindergarten and will be transforming this into a nature school area, with opportunities for mini-beast hunting, den building and learning about fire safety around the fire pit. Next to this area we have plans to install an extensive allotment with a large polytunnel which will be managed by a full time gardener. The children will experience the full seed to plate journey as they help to plant, tend and a harvest a vast variety of fruit and vegetables which will then be used by our inhouse chef to prepare the meals for the children.

The stunning natural surrounds with extensive woodland mean that children have multiple opportunities to connect with nature, learn about the local habitat and use this inspiration to follow their interests back at the kindergarten.

Things to know:

• Ages  9 months - 5 years

• Opening Hours 8am - 6pm, 51 weeks of the year

• We charge a non-refundable registration fee of £50

• A £200 deposit is required to secure an offered place and is returned through your final invoice

• 2, 3 and 4-year old funding available

• Minimum of 2 full days or 3 half days

• 9 month to 2 year olds 8am to 5pm - £74 (add the commuter hour with tea from 5pm-6pm for £11.50)

• 2 year olds 8am to 5pm - £73 (add the commuter hour with tea from 5pm-6pm for £11)

• 3-5 year olds 8am to 5pm - £71 (add the commuter hour with tea from 5pm-6pm for £11)
