All about Marwell Zoo
Our new Nature Nursery at Marwell Zoo is based at the former Tree Tops restaurant overlooking the penguin and giraffe enclosures. Accessed through a private entrance via the overflow car park, it features two large classrooms - both with children’s kitchens, a sleep room, nature room, music room, parent room, a large grown-up kitchen and dining hall.
Outside the one-and-a-half acre secure outdoor play area, there's a large vegetable garden, a supersized sand pit, dens, climbing equipment and access to a private woodland. The Kids Love Nature experience is completed by Marwell Zoo’s Education Team, who provide twice-daily Mini-Zoologists Explorer Sessions in all areas of the zoo, as well as lessons at the Learning Centre with live reptiles, mammals and insects.
Activities at Marwell are as enriching as they are environmentally conscious. Lessons with live reptiles, mammals and insects, following wet weather trails, and daily explorer sessions to visit and learn about the animals are just a few of the activities that will be on offer at this exciting new Nature Nursery.
