All about Marwell Zoo.
If you are looking to give your child the kind of memories in early years that dreams are made of, our Kindergarten at Marwell Zoo won’t disappoint. This wonderful, friendly and loving space has everything you would expect from a two time outstanding rated nursery. It even overlooks the penguin and giraffe enclosures! Accessed through a private entrance via the overflow car park, it features large classrooms with children’s kitchens, a sleep room, nature room and music room.
Outside in the one-and-a-half acre secure outdoor play area, there's a large vegetable garden, a supersized sand pit, dens, climbing equipment and access to a private woodland. Watching the giraffes and zebras through the fence at the bottom of the garden has to be a unique nursery experience!
The highly qualified and dedicated team ensures your child feels settled, loved and has their individual fascinations fulfilled! Our visiting artist takes the children on a creative adventure, developing collaborative pieces of art. The Kids Love Nature experience is completed by Marwell Zoo’s Education Team, who provide twice-daily Mini-Zoologists Explorer Sessions in all areas of the zoo, as well as lessons at the Learning Centre.
Activities at Marwell are as enriching as they are environmentally conscious. Children quickly understand and can describe the natural habitats the animals live in and how these differ from the enclosures at the zoo. They begin to grasp the amazing conservation work Marwell leads around the world and understand the importance of our role in preserving and protecting these rare and endangered species.

Things to know:
Ages 9 months - 5 years
Our opening hours are 7.45am - 5pm with a commuter hour from 5pm - 6pm, 51 weeks of the year.
A Full day from 7.45am - 5pm includes home cooked lunch and snacks, nature school sessions in the woodland, mini zoologist sessions in the zoo, cooking sessions and relaxation sessions
Registration Fee is £50
A £200 deposit is required to secure an offered place and is returned through your final invoice
2, 3 and 4 year-old funding is available
Minimum of 2 full days

9 month to 2 year olds 7:45am to 5pm - £77 (add the commuter hour with tea from 5pm-6pm for £11.50)
2 year olds 7:45am to 5pm - £76 (add the commuter hour with tea from 5pm-6pm for £11)
3-5 year olds 7:45am to 5pm - £74 (add the commuter hour with tea from 5pm-6pm for £11)
